Suzuki GSX-R 600 is a precursor to the Suzuki GSR600




The 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 600 is a precursor to the Suzuki GSR600, which was introduced in 2004. It is a middleweight sports bike, popular among racers of all experience levels. The 2002 model is part of the third generation of GSX-R 600s. The main difference from the second generation was the introduction of a fuel-injection system.
Engine

The Suzuki GSX-R 600 features a four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with four valves per cylinder, a dual overhead camshaft and a compression ratio of 12.2 to 1. It has a six-speed gearbox and a displacement of 599 cubic centimeters. It has a 67-mm bore with a 42.5-mm stroke. In 2001, a new fuel-injection system, which contributes to a smoother and stronger performance than in previous models, was introduced.
Brakes, Suspension and Tires

The front brakes are dual 320-mm hydraulic disc and the rear brakes are single 220-mm hydraulic disc. Both the front and rear suspension have pre-load rebound compression adjustment. The front tire has dimensions of 120/70-17 while the rear tire is 180/55-17.
